Gain Experience creating a perfect Promo Vid with New Media Lincs

In partnership with LSFM, New Media Lincs are offering a five-day short course to take you through the process of creating the perfect 30 sec promotional video.

This opportunity is free and open to all students in the College of Arts to improve their employability skills.The course will be informal, collaborative and interactive. Teaching will be given on the first two days which will include meeting and working with a real client. Tailor-made technical workshops will also be included to meet your requirements. Learn everything you need to know about working with clients from start to finish, including the pitfalls!

On day 3 and 4 you will be out and about filming and then editing.

On day 5 you will present, review and critique the film with the client and others from the media industry.

A small award ceremony will take place at the end for the best short film.

The course runs from Monday 5th June – Friday 9th June 2017.

Grupo Antolin, Design Challenge 2017

Grupo Antolin provides interior for 1 out of every 3 vehicles manufactured worldwide providing overheads, doors, cockpits and lighting for vehicles in 26 countries. They have just launched their Design Challenege 2017.

Design Challenge
The goal of the design challenge is to design a complete vehicle interior for the future, focused to years 2025-2030 where the main innovative solutions will be located in these areas:
– Cockpit & Central Console
– Door Panels
– Integrated Lighting
– Overhead System

Brayford Radio Are Looking For New Team Members!

Brayford Radio are looking for new presenters, new broadcast assistants, and new teams to produce incredible content in the next academic year! There are plenty of slots free! So if you would like your own show, an hour a week to share something you are passionate about, do get involved!

Fancy you own show? Well Brayford radio are looking for teams to take on hour slots each well, all you have to do is submit a programming proposal form and away you go. And don’t worry about having any prior experience!

Don’t feel confident on the mic but want to get involved still? Don’t worry, they are also looking for people to join their technical team. The technical team ensures the smooth running of the station from timing to sound quality. And you’ll even get some training in the role!

BAFTA are opening their doors to budding film, TV + games-makers for a weekend of wisdom from BAFTA winners + nominees! At Guru LIVE on 6+7 May, there’ll be 2 days of masterclasses, panels + Q+As, with the teams behind films such as The Girl With All The Gifts and Under The Shadow, TV shows like Dragon’s Den and game studio Rebellion all confirmed to speak so far. We’ll also be running masterclasses from the teams behind Notes on Blindness and Murder in Successville.
