The Students Union are hosting some great year-specific workshops about managing your money. The first workshops will take place on Wednesday, October 21st at The Platform, to help all students across all 3 years.

Financial FairyTales -1pm

The Financial Fairy Tales sessions have been created specifically for students who are in their first year of University Life.  The first of these sessions is called ‘Funding the Fairy Tale’ and will run at the start of the autumn term. This session will cover the financial knowledge that is key to those starting their University Life.  This will include how to set up a budget plan, managing your student loan and essential information about earning money whilst you are studying at the University. Working Magic with your money – 2:30pm

The Working Magic With Your Money sessions have been created specifically for students who are in their second year of University Life.  The first of these sessions is called ‘The Cost Of Your Noble Quest’ and will run at the start of the autumn term.    This session will cover the financial knowledge that is key to those who are in the middle of their University Life.  The session will include details on; managing your student debts effectively, earning money during term breaks and how to make the most of the money you have.  For more information on Working Magic with your money visit the SU’s page here.

Beanstalk and Beyond – 4pm

The Bean Stalk and Beyond sessions have been created specifically for students who are in their final year of University Life.  The first of these sessions is called ‘Happily Ever After’ and will run at the start of the autumn term. This session will cover the financial knowledge that is key to those who are in their final year of University life and are now looking to their next step.  The session will include details on planning a gap year, searching for your dream job and finding the right place to live, together with the key pieces of information you will need to make your plans a success. For more information on Beanstalk and Beyond visit the SU’s page here.
